The QBN training videos and CBA testing process will see big changes in 2023!

The new training program will be entirely online, mobile-friendly, and even better than ever. With new techniques, modern business tips, and tons of design ideas, the updated program features seven robust modules with ideas you can immediately implement in your business. In addition, as with the existing program, the training will culminate in a timed in-person exam for members to earn their Certified Balloon Artist designation.

• How are the new QBN training videos different?

  You can expect to see many of the core elements from the current DVDs in the new QBN training videos. However, we have listened to your feedback and added many new education topics. For example, there is an entire module dedicated to twisting basics! Additionally, the new Bouquets and Deliveries module demonstrates how to make seven profitable designs easily tailored to different themes and occasions, as well as 11 ways to add value to your designs. Is organic balloon decor included in the new program? You bet it is! The new videos are also shorter and easier to follow, so you can start and stop viewing at your convenience. As you can see, you can expect a very modern approach to balloon training videos this year.

• How much will it cost?

  The cost will not increase with the updated program. However, you will no longer be able to only purchase sections of the program. Contact your local office for specific pricing in your region.

• In what languages will the new program be offered?

  The videos will have subtitles, and online quizzes will be offered in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Russian. Additional languages may be added in the future, so contact your local rep for further details. There will be no additional cost for non-English languages.

• What if I’ve already purchased the existing program?

  That’s great! You will immediately gain access to the new videos when they are released! All current members will be transferred over to the new program after its release. However, suppose you have already begun the online tests for the current program. In that case, you will be given a six-month grace period to finish with the existing program quizzes or begin testing on the new videos. You will be contacted personally when this grace period begins and when you approach the final deadline to complete the existing quizzes.

• What if I’ve purchased a section of the existing program?

  When the new program is released, you will be contacted to update your membership to include all training videos. Essentially, you will need to pay the difference between how much you paid for the section(s) of the program and the cost of the total program. Until then, you will not have access to the new training videos.

• Should I wait to purchase the program until all of the new videos are released?

  That is entirely up to you. If you purchase the program now, you can start watching the current videos, taking online quizzes, and be on your way to earning your CBA designation. When the new videos are released, you will immediately gain access to the entire library of information. However, if you prefer to wait for the updated program, that’s great too! Just be sure you’re on our email list so you will be the first to know when everything is ready!

• I’ve already finished the current QBN videos and received my CBA designation. What does this new program mean for me?

  Continuing education is vitally important to improving your skills. While some of the new training videos may be too basic for you, there will certainly be fantastic nuggets of information for all skill levels. The new training videos will not be mandatory for anyone who has already received their CBA designation. However, you will have free access to the new videos through the QBN portal on the Qualatex website. Therefore, we highly encourage CBAs to watch the videos at their convenience to gain knowledge on topics included in the new program, such as how to build different types of balloon walls, marketing in a digital age, twisting essentials, and balloon delivery ideas, to name a few.

• How will this affect the in-person Certified Balloon Artist exam?
  We will still hold in-person CBA exams to solidify and test your knowledge. There will be changes to the existing exam. However, those changes will not roll out until 2023 to allow for the transition grace period.
