Triadic Colour Harmony
Triadic colour harmonies consist of any three hues that lie at an equal distance on the colour wheel. A triadic colour harmony can also be a combination of three equally spaced tints, tones, or shades. The most common triadic combination is the primary colours: red, yellow, and blue. Because triadic colour schemes create more contrast, it is essential to be mindful of the visual balance within your design. One way to achieve a well-balanced triadic composition is to allow one colour to be dominant while the other two support.
